Beauty Works, Bukit Jalil

I've got myself a Beauty Works deal from Groupego a few months ago. I bought myself too many deals til that i forgot about this Beauty Work voucher and when it's near expiry, it's during my final exams! Argh!! I thought i couldn't redeem this deal as i paid RM50 for 2 times of facial treatment but i decided to give it a try by calling Beauty Works and asked if they could extend the deal or not. I'm overjoyed when they said they can do it for me and asked if i would like to make any appointment or not first as their weekends are always fully booked.

So i went for the treatment last week (2 weeks after expiry  =D ) together with Hun, as i got myself another free facial treatment for liking their facebook page. We went there on the weekend and surprisingly, that are is very quiet, almost like a dear town with only a few cars park at the parking lot. Ok nvr mind. Doesn't matter..

Beauty Work uses Sothys Product from Paris, need not to say, it's one of the best facial products in the market. The facial last about 2 hours with a short consultation. Hun's treatment was a normal facial, just cleanse, exfoliate and a simple mask, without any massage but no complaint - it's a free facial.

As for me, i was asked if i would like to top up another RM70 to try their intensive facial and i was tempted to try as they said they will add a few more steps and products in the facial. My facial started with double cleanse, next, they rubbed a layer of "crystal" i don't know what's that but they called it crystal, which is the first step of the intensive treatment, and then followed by steamer. Next she added the step 2 product and it melts the crystal which will be absorbed into my skin and then soften the white heads. After massage the product til fully absorb, she started the extraction part. She didn't extract much as she said she do not want my face to look very reddish. After extration is the facial massage, shoulder massage and then followed by a mask.

So i paid RM95 (RM25 from voucher and top up another RM70) and i wasn't contended with the treatment. The facial was very simple, not as intensive as i think. Not much of result and i don't feel relax at all. They did not use any machine on my face, not even the sterilizing machine after extraction. The facial massage was ok, but the shoulder massage was horrible, below the par.

The normal price for a normal facial is quite high, not really affordable for student. The package that the beautician told me was RM299 for 1 times of intensive facial (buy 1 free 1) so each treatment is about RM150. The beautician was very friendly and not so pushy, and asked if i would like to purchase their gentle exfoliation scrub or not as it's good for my skin and asked if i would like to sign for any package or not. I said i will consider it and will tell them in my next visit, as the voucher that i bought is entitle for 2 facial treatment.

Overall, im not satisfied with the treatment as it's below my expectation. You can go there for a trial and if you like simple facial then it's ok but i opt for a relaxing and effective facial. You can get a free trial facial by liking their facebook page at this link and if they send you an email to your facebook inbox, then you can try out their simple facial for free. One of the beautician also told my Hun that if he recommend 10 friends to the facial and he will get a facial treatment for free.

Their weekends are always fully booked so make appoiment in advance.

My Lip Stuff - Lip Balm

Came across this website selling natural hand made lip balm online, which was recommended by Cleo Magz. Browse through the website and fall in love with the Lip Balm that has over 400 flavors to choose from! Wow... That's the most I've heard so far, and i love the packaging, simple and cute.. "wonder why my friend said it looks cheap". Yes it's cheeap, only RM12 for a tube but it doesnt look cheap at all.

The balm goes on oily-smooth, and feels like there's an oily layer on my lips, so on my first impression it wasn't too great. However, that oiliness goes off after awhile. It's a really good product and i love using it at night because i'll wake up to a supple lips-no more chapped lips! =)

The scent is obvious the minute you apply the balm but as to my disappointment, it disappears rather quickly. However it really does it work as a lip balm and you can see result in just one night. Why not for RM12 instead of the fancy expensive brand out there like Burt's Bee or The Body Shop lip balm which cost quite alot. =)

Here are the natural ingredients used to make the balm:
Sunflower oil, beeswax, cocoa butter, sweet almond oil, castor oil, jojoba oil, avocado oil, aloe vera and essential flavor oil-all are very moisturizing ingredients for skin.

And yeah, now you can get this locally!! no need to go through all the hassle to get these all the way from the US.

If you are already eager to get your hands on them, here's where you should head on to --> My Lip Stuff Malaysia. You can get more information about the lip balms and flavors reviews from this website.

I got my lipbalm in just 2 days and it was bubblewrapped nicely. How nice of you, Cynthia! =)

Cute packaging. That's a Name card of the seller with a lovely message at the back.
Thank you Cynthia! =)

Nightime-My Fav out of all..
Description from the Website:Just like our aromatherapy bath salts: Lavender, Rose, & Orange to help with sleepless nights
Very strong scent of Lavender and you can taste the taste of Lavender actually. Very relaxing and calming esp when apply at night before sleep.

Butt Naked - Funny Name
Description from Website : Butt Naked is a refreshing mix of green apple, honeydew, & spicy pear.
Can't smell any Green apple and i dont know what's the smell of spicy pear. Smell a bit like honey dew and chewing gum.

Sex On the Beach - The cocktail =)
Description from Website : This one smells just like the drink! Cranberry, Orange, Pineapple, Peach, & Vodka.
I cant smell any orange, pineapple and peach but Berries. =)

Healing-the one that i like least.
Description from Website:Just like our aromatherapy bath salts: Lime, Eucalyptus, & Tea Tree to help cleanse & purify the body.
i was looking for one with green tea flavors but misread tea tree as green tree. Have a very strong scent of lime and tea tree but at the same time, smells like detergent for toilet and floors but it's fine with me. =)

So this is how the balm look.

Pro(s):
-environmental friendly
-very moisturizing
-moisture really last very long
-nice scent and lotz of flavors to choose from
-cheap and effective

Con(s):
-too oily
-scent disappears rather fast
-some of them doesn't really smell like the ingredients mentioned

Beaute Mart - Egyptian Magic Cream

I've wrote a review on Egyptian Magic Cream which i've purchased online and you can read the review here --> Egyptan Magic Cream Review

So what about this post? Hm... i'm gonna tell you what happened to the cream. If you've read my earlier post about Egyptian Magic Cream, i said that they've deleted my complaints on their facebook wall post. They responded to me last week. Do you know why? Here i'm gonna tell you guys but it's better if you read my previous post about Egyptian Magic Cream Review.

The jar stated that we can be fully refunded if we're not satisfy with the product, by returning the hald remaining tub of cream to the seller. I've contacted the seller which is Beauty Mart and wrote a post on their wall poast regarding about this but they deleted my post and doesnt repond to my complaints.

I was very angry and wrote a review on Egyptian Magic Cream. After that, something crossed my mind. "Tadaa!!" Why not complaint to the main website of Egyptian Magic Cream from USA!! It's not about the refund but it's about the bad service of the Malaysia's Egyptian Magic Cream seller!

So i've lodge a complaint at the USA webpage and they responded to me in just one day and asked me to send an email to their customer service and complaint to the e-mail provided. After that Beauty Mart responded and sent an e-mail to me within hours after i've complaint to the US customer's service! You can see the message between us in the following attachment..

So basically this was what happened. I really dislike this kind of seller who ignores customer's complaints and then give all sort of nonsense and reason after that. When customers complaint to the main seller, they responded in just a few hours. So dearies, know your rights. Customers are always right! Please don't get cheated by those irresponsible seller.

Thank for reading.. XOXO

Follow Me Holistic Spa Body Shampoo

Went to Giant with Bin and Khailing few weeks ago and there was this Aunty Promoter who recommend me this  body shampoo. Fell in love with it once i smell it but i didnt buy it as i still have lotz of body shampoo at home..

The smell keep lingering in my mind and i cant stand it.. Love the smell and i want it so much so i bought it at Midvalley Carrefour yesterday!! Hahaha..

I wonder why Jusco and Watsons are not selling this awesome Body Shampoo. Definitely a must have for those who loves spa and relaxing smell.

 Revive

 Relieve

 Rejuvenate

 Relax

The "relax" one is the best among all of them. This is the one that will give you the spa like feel when you're using it. The other 3 smell like ordinary body shampoo, nothing special. RM16.50 for 1000ml, worth trying! The "relax" one smells like a mixture of lemongrass and lavender flower thus giving a very nice and relaxing scent.

I don't use it everyday the reason why is because if you use it everyday, you'll get bored with the same smell and the next time you use it, it will not give you any of the relaxing feel anymore. Besides it's not soapy and it you have a sweaty day, i don't think this body shampoo will be good enough. Anyway, give it a try.. Really helps in relaxing your mind. You can use it with your loofah so that it's more soapy and foamy or pump it in your bath tub for a warm and spa like treatment at home. =)
Pros:
-Very relaxing smell
-Affordable
-Very big bottle, can last long
-Easily available
-Comes with a pump dispenser

Cons:
-Not soapy and thus not effective in cleaning your body after a long day outside

Victoria Jackson Pocket Palatte

Victoria Jackson is a cosmetic brand that comes from the US and currently they're having roadshow all over Malaysia especially at college and university to promote and also introduce their products to Malaysians' market. They will bring in this product at the end of 2011 and there'll be a counter at every Parkson Centre.

Victoria Jackson has this personal philosophy, "When you look better, you feel better. And when you feel better you can change your life".

Well let's not talk so much about it. So i've a purchased this Victoria Jackson Pocket Palette from a roadshow in my uni, for RM60 only instead of RM100++ i got a Victoria Jackson member card which you can only get with purchases of above RM500 in a single receipt. Woohoo!! When Victoria Jackson is in Malaysia, the card gives you a discount from 20 to 40% when you purchase their products.

This palette comes in 4 gorgeous earthy, cream shadows for radiant face and also includes 2 beautiful lip glosses to plump the look. The eye shadows are creamy and the color is very nice, start from baby pink and gold at the top and then green and brown at the bottom. It's suitable for everyday look and the color does stays long. However i found that the lip gloss at the left is lil too dark for me.

When i asked my mum how's the product, she said the color is nice, however it creased lil at the end of the day and a lil oily. I dont think it's suitable for people with oily eyelid.

Im looking forward to their products and can't wait for them to be in Malaysia.. =) My mum loves this palette alot as it's her everyday color so i decided to give it to her.. Lol.. for more information you can visit their website and look for their products and decide which you gonna buy when it's in Malaysia!! This is their website http://www.vmakeup.com and they actually provide beauty tips for everyone at their website. You can click on it to check it out and i found that all the tips are quite handy.  http://www.vmakeup.com/pages/beauty-tips

Serene Aesthetic Cheras Branch

Thanks to Webuy.com which introduced Serene Aesthetic to me at their website. The deal cost me RM50 but i was entitled for a total of RM376 worth of facial treatment and also an extra RM80 for next visit.
So here's the deal:

I went to redeem this deal at the Cheras Branch, located at CMC mall last week and i feel in love with their friendly beautician and good service.

When i reach there, they greeted me warmly and then ask me to sit down for a short consultation and face analysis. The skin analysis machine that they use is exactly the same as the one i saw in New York Skin solution. Same problems.. Large and clogged pored, white heads at the cheek, black heads at the nose and tiny pimples all over my forehead. *sigh*

After the consultation and skin analysis, the beautician(i forgot her name) directed me to the facial room and asked me to keep my bad in the locker and then put on their silky piece of cloth, i don't know what to call that. Soon the facial began.. Oh yeah, she noticed that i've my contact lens on and advice me to take it off as there's an eye treatment and they even prepare a contact lens container and solution for me. Yes i know it's very unhygienic to share but once in a while it's OK for me. :P

Started with milk cleanser followed by double cleanse. After that is scrub, i love their scrub as they don't use any machine, just facial scrub with hand. After the scrub they put on the algae mask for me(top up RM30 for this) which is good for my acne skin as it detoxify and soften my white heads, easier for extraction. The algae mask smells almost the same like the one in Herbaline.

While waiting for the mask to dry, they start the shoulder massage which made me fell asleep. Next is steamer followed by extraction and it was painful but no pain no gain.. T_T

After extraction they begin the eye treatment which is like a facial point massage and then neck treatment by using machine. The last step is the hydrating mask and then the hot stone massage. During the whole facial session, the beautician chatted with me and she was friendly.

Next is another consultation about my skin problem and they asked if i want to sign their package or not. They're not pushy at all and i love their facial treatment and also service so much that i want to sign their package. They showed me the cheapest package as im still a student they knew, RM500 for 5 sessions of the same treatment(Micro-caps Hydrating Treatment), with free eye treatment, neck treatment and hot stone massage. I asked them is't possible to replace the hot stone massage with the algae mask as the algae mask is more important and they agreed. They told me although the hot stone massage has been replaced there's still facial point and also shoulder massage which is sufficient for me. =) *Shhh* I've upgrade my package to the RM1,500 package for 12 times Treatment(6 Micro-Caps and 6 Intensive Treatment) on my second visit. Can you tell how much i like about their service? =)

Oh yeah, there's a lucky draw if you sign their package and i got a free nail colour in baby pink which have the same quality as OPI and the selling price is RM55. They then gave me a free gift of their products in sample size- a cleanser, essence and moisturizer. Since i've upgrade my treatment to the RM1500 package, i will be entitled for one more lucky draw chance. I got their eye-shadow. Will make a review on it some time later. They said they i can pay my package by installment, divide into 4 times payment and once payment is fully made, i will get a free SOSKIN gentle cleanser, another product that i'm gonna review on in the future as i'm trying out their travel size cleanser now.

They uses Soskin Product from France. This is the description of Soskin product adapted from their website:

Soskin products are developed from blending medical-grade plant and marine actives, protein and clinically-proven skin compatible bases to create therapeutic and luxurious products that give clearly visible results.

Situated on a botanical site between Grasse and Nice, France, the Cosmetic Research Group Laboratories employs advanced scientific technology to harness the most efficient molecules of nature to produce Soskin skincare products that give the best results in a more natural way.

The cleanser is really mild and effective, the smell is very soothing, like cucumber and pumpkin. The essence which helps is pore problems was ok and the moisturizer is greenish in color. The beauty consultant told me that it's best to apply at night and can be applied as a mask by applying more and thicker layer. I can't really tell the result of the products at it's just a sample size but i can tell that the product doesn't irritate my skin nor make my skin feels tight.

Another thing that i like about them is they are very concern of customers' skin condition as i receive a few calls from them after having my treatment. They asked if i have any skin problem after their treatment, and how's my skin condition now and they're so caring that they asked me to take care of my eating diet and also my body's health. Aw... ♥♥♥

For more information, you can visit their website at http://www.sereneaesthetics.com.my/. Although the ambiance is not that good, but for the good service and treatment it's really worthy. Besides the price is really reasonable, unlike those money sucking beauty saloon which over packages at RM2k plus.. Worth a try as it's strategically located at a few locations. These are the address and contact number of all the branches of Serene Aesthetic. Click on it for a larger image..

Egyptian Magic Cream

OMG... i got bombed by all my finals projects and exams.. 3 more papers and projects and im done for this semester!! Still have a few more days before the next paper so i better grab this chance to write a lil review on the products which I've purchased not long ago-THE EGYPTIAN MAGIC CREAM.

I got to know about this Egyptian Magic Cream through Bubzbeauty, a famous you-tuber. The main hype bout this products is that famous celebrities and runway modals are fans of this product like Kate Hudson, Madonna, Eva Mendes, Oprah and etc. Such high profile celebrities are big fans of this products so i told myself that it must be some kind of magical cream that can solve all my skin problems and i was eager to get one of this Magic Cream.

I have a normal combination skin and always face problems like black heads and white heads on my cheek. It has been bothering me since i've enter my tertiary education in KL, maybe due to the polluted air and water, stress and irregular sleeping time. I've wanted to get one but i couldn't find anyone that sell it in Malaysia. I was dying to try it out. A few months later, i started seeing some people  brings this products into Malaysia and started selling it online. At first i don't really believe it as i thought that it might be imitation so i went to search for Egyptian Magic Cream page on facebook and under the Where To Buy tab, there's 3 authentic sellers in Malaysia.

I got myself one jar of Egyptian Magic Cream from Beauty Mart, which is one of the authentic seller from Malaysia. It cost me RM125 for a jar of 4oz Egyptian Magic Cream. The cream is yellowish in colour, looks like Vaseline but the texture is thicker. It's in cream form and will actually melt into oil when you rub it with your palm. I can't really describe how it smells like, not a nice smell but definitely not an unpleasant smell too. Er, i can say that it smells a lil like honey and powdery vanilla?

Ingredient wise, it uses 100% natural ingredient and i was pleasantly surprise. Say YAY!! =) You know you can't find something like this nowadays as all those marketed skin care products are being made by chemicals. So the ingredients are olive oil, beeswax, honey, bee pollen, royal jelly and bee propolis. I'm not going to describe what each ingredient does for our skin as we already know that all those ingredients mentioned only gives us benefit, unless you're allergic to honey products.

The main advantage of this product is that it contain high moisturizing level that it's good for people that suffer from eczema. Many people have used this products as a multi purpose cream and they actually use it for various purposes like moisturizer, makeup remover, rashes, stretch marks, essential oils, aroma therapy, chapped lips, dry and cracked skin, itchy skin, massage oil, shaving cream, after-shaved cream, heals razor bumps, hair tamer, hair treatment, scars, tattoo, for pets, makeup base, eyebrow tamer, and even vaginal moisturizer and cream. I think there're still alot of other usage but it's too many for me to mention here and i actually did some of the test on my skin, i will let you know the result later.

Ok enough of all the intros and blah blah. I'm gonna start my review now. To my disappointment, the product is really oily. I've tried to use it as my moisturizer but i cant stand the oiliness of the products on my skin. Some people says that it really does its work for dry skin and even suitable for oily skin as it will be absorbed into your skin in 30 minutes. However, it doesn't work for me, i've applied quite a thick layer at the first time(yes im greedy and i love using lotz of products) and my face ended up look like an oily stupid piece of meat. It doesn't get absorbed and i feel terrible. So the next time i try reducing the amount by warming up the cream and then gently dab on my skin but the result's still the same. The cream doesn't get absorb even after the whole night and i woke up with an oily and sticky face with my hair sticking on my face the next morning. It doesn't have any good effect on my skin but leave my skin feeling heavy, clogged and breakouts. T_T I stop using it as my face moisturizer after 3 nights.

What to do with the remaining tub of cream? I search for all the usage it's for and tried them one by one so here're the results:

i) As a hair treatment cream : I've tried applying it at my hair ends, it makes my hair turn really oily like i didn't wash my hair for weeks. The first time i tried washing it off after a few hours, and the next time i wash it off after 2 days. Both gave me the same result, unimproved hair conditioned. So.. =Fail=

ii) As a scar treatment : I apply some on my old and new scar, took some time to massage it till it's fully absorbed for 1 week. My old scar remain the same but the new one actually faded a little so i think it doesn't work for old scar as the cream doesn't have any whitening effects. Somehow, honey has a healing property so  it might helps in reducing new scar as it helps in generating new cells. =Successful=

iii) As a skin moisturizer : I have very dry feet and skin as i stay in the air-cond room for almost 24 hour a day 7 times a week. I apply the cream all over my feet and put on a pair of socks overnight. My skin feels softer the next day and the skin condition improved a lot after 3 days. =Successful=

iv) After-shaved cream : After shaving my armpit, i apply some of the cream at my under arms to see if it's really that effective. I don't really know what the result is as i don't use any after-shaved cream normally but seems like my underarms ended up sticky and uncomfy. After some time i feel a lil itchy and can't resist to wash it off. =Fail=

v) Makeup remover : I melted the cream with my palm and apply it on my face as a makeup remover. A lot of it is needed to remove all my makeup including mascara. It works but i think is't not worth it as i need quite a lot of it. =Successful=

vi) Makeup Base : OMG.. my face feels sticky and oily after applying it. I tried to use at as a makeup base, just for experimenting the effect at home, but i can says that it doesn't work as my foundation glides the same even with or without the cream, and i feel that my face is too heavy and my pores are dying for air. How can you go out with makeup if you feel unsecure and heavy on your face? =Fail=

vii) Eye cream: Yes some people even apply it around the eyes area as eye cream but i can't tell any difference after using it as eye cream. My eyes still look puffy as usual.. Some of the products actually got into my eyes and it's really irritating. I think it's because it's in oil form and when it get heats up with body temperature, it's constantly melting so it's not a good idea to use it as eye cream, unless you don't have any eye cream and you can bear with the pain when it gets into your eye. =Fail=

viii) Lip balm : This works great as a lip balm, my chapped lips feel so much better the next day. =successful=

vi-iii) Stretched mark treatment : I have some stretched mark at my hips and it really bothers me a lot. I apply the cream as my concern area, massage it until the products are fully absorbed and then apply another alyer and massage again. Sigh.. no effects and all my hard work wasted... =Fail=

So these are what I've done with my Egyptian magic cream. I was curious about its usage as a vagina moisturizer, i mean why we need to apply moisturizer there? Besides it's not clinically tested that it can be applied there, and wonder what is it brings side effect to our most delicate part of the body huh?

If you're keen to know more bout the products, here's what is written on the tub:

Life Takes from the Taken and Gives to the Giver. Above All let your word be your bond.

Directions : Take moderate amount and rub in our palms until it takes the form of oil (It helps the skin absorb effectively.) Apply over your skin gently. Peace, Divine love, perfect health, internal, eternal wisdom and infinite blessings unto you, precious one. Kamitian folklore recalls the existence of a miraculous skin cream secretly used by the great sages, mystics, magicians and healers of ancient Kamit, used as an anti-aging skin rejuvenation to maintain radiant, healthy, smooth and glowing skin.

The jars actually stated that we can be refunded if we're not satisfy with the product, by returning the half remaining tub of cream to the seller. I've contacted the seller, Beauty Mart, and wrote a post on their wall regarding about this but they actually deleted my post and doesn't respond to me. Forget about it, i think i was too innocent to believe that there're such great deals on earth, where you can return your half used product back to the seller and get back a full refund. Lol.. --> Read the new post where they finally refunded the money for me.

Egyptian Magic Cream... come to my final thoughts.. It's really a multi-purpose cream and one that uses only natural ingredients. It helped in healing dry skin and lips, maybe great for people with very dry skin and eczema but too much for me who has oily combination skin. It's something like Vaseline, but at a higher price, and of cause, Vaseline is not that good as it's made of petroleum jelly which clogged pores and some think that it's not good for our health as well.

Here are some ads found online about Egyptian Magic Cream:

However, the benefits that it gave to me is not to my satisfaction, as i can get a lip balm, lotion and foot cream at a much lower price. RM125 for a foot cream is something too costly for a student like me. I will not say that the cream is bad, nor great but it's best if you can try it out yourself as it gives different effect on different skin. It might work for you although not for me. So im gonna sum up the pros and cons if you think this post is too long.. Lol..

Pros:
-Made of 100% natural ingredients
-Very moisturizing
-the 4oz jar can last for a long time
-can be used on all skin type
-no preservatives, coloring or fragrance

Cons:
-Comes in a tub, not that convenient to use
-You need to scoop the amount needed with a spatula, or else it might be contaminated if you use a bare hand
-Costly
-Only available online and thus you can't try the texture before purchasing
-Not that easy to be absorbed (im not sure how if it's applied on dry skin)

My Rating:
4/10

Thank you for viewing... XOXO
