Idemisse Facial

This is a beauty review about another Facial Saloon, Idemisse. I got 2 vouchers from mydeals.com some time ago and pulled Hun along for a facial at Idemisse, located at Times Square. The beautician welcome us and serve us with a cuppa hot tea and began and consultation session-the nail-biter session

So here's what written at the website about the deal:

  • 91% off Crystal Jade 5 Elements Facial (60 mins) @ Idemisse for RM28 instead of RM298!

  • Treat yourself with Idemisse’s relaxing and unique facial treatment

  • Uses 5 elements oil:
    • Metal
    • Wood
    • Water
    • Fire
    • Marl

  • Benefits of the facial:
    • Firming and radiance
    • Face shaping and lifting
    • Reduces open pores
    • Accelerates repair of aged cells
    • Enhances the blood and lymph circulation
    • Reduces dark circles, wrinkles, fine lines and pigmentation

  • Uses Swiss made products

  • Both women and men are welcomed!

  • Get additional RM100 cash voucher (redeemable on courses/products)

  •      Upon consultation, the consultant(the boss) said that the 5 element facial is not suitable for my skin condition as i have slight acne and also white heads around my cheek area and thus she asked me to upgrade my facial to a suitable one, which need to top up another RM68 for it. As for Hun, she said his skin is ok for she treatment as it's for people without any acne, like him.

It's unfair. Why people like who who try so hard to take care of my face have so many skin problems like acne and white heads but the one that didnt wash his face before going to bed has smooth and beautiful skin! Argh!! Ok forget bout it.. enough of the dramatic session.

Let's get back to the topic. =) The facial started with double cleanse, then facial scrub, extraction, eye brow shaping, ampoule, facial massage and mask. I dislike their service and they hire non malaysian to do the facial for us, which means that they did not attend any beautician school and i dont think they have a valid certificate to be a beautician. Not to say that they can't even speak proper mandarin. I think they were trained by the boss herself only and have not recognize. The one that did the facial for me is a Thai or a Cambodian and the one that did the facial for Hun, was trying to communicate with English but we scratch our head when she speaks. Sounded like Tamil. =.=

Their facial is definitely not a professional one. We're not asked to change our attire before we started our facial and just lie on their bed with my short skin and own shirt which is very uncomfy! They didnt massage me at all, the i still feel tensed after the facial session. =( a bad one!

As for honey's 5 elements facial, i can't see any differences at the before and after as they said the 5 element facial will help in lifting and also make the face look slimmer. Another marketing  strategies to cheat Aunties....

After the facial they recommended me some products and they're very pushy. Anyhow i bought something from them. Bought a Dermedex trial pack which consist of Biotox Refining Cream which is good for acne and scars and also Biotox Cleaner, and also Idemisse Hyaluronic Moist.

The trial pack cost me RM22 and the Hyaluronic Moist cost me RM68(original price is RM168) as there's a discount voucher worth RM100 from the deal. The Dermedex Trial Pack is worth trying and the result is ok, it soothes my skin. As for the Hyaluronic Moist, i can feel that my face is more hydrated and less tight after applying it.

Their products was ok but definitely not their service. Their facial room is very small and the environment is so so..

    Pros:
    -Friendly beautician
    -Less whiteheads after treatment

    Cons:
    -painful extraction
-no special attire to change during facial session
    -no shoulder massage
    -not relax
-very small room and no aroma scent
    -the room is hot
-i dislike the non Malaysian beautician
    -very very pushy

    Ambience:

    Beauty Works, Bukit Jalil

I've got myself a Beauty Works deal from Groupego a few months ago. I bought myself too many deals til that i forgot about this Beauty Work voucher and when it's near expiry, it's during my final exams! Argh!! I thought i couldn't redeem this deal as i paid RM50 for 2 times of facial treatment but i decided to give it a try by calling Beauty Works and asked if they could extend the deal or not. I'm overjoyed when they said they can do it for me and asked if i would like to make any appointment or not first as their weekends are always fully booked.

So i went for the treatment last week (2 weeks after expiry  =D ) together with Hun, as i got myself another free facial treatment for liking their facebook page. We went there on the weekend and surprisingly, that are is very quiet, almost like a dear town with only a few cars park at the parking lot. Ok nvr mind. Doesn't matter..

Beauty Work uses Sothys Product from Paris, need not to say, it's one of the best facial products in the market. The facial last about 2 hours with a short consultation. Hun's treatment was a normal facial, just cleanse, exfoliate and a simple mask, without any massage but no complaint - it's a free facial.

As for me, i was asked if i would like to top up another RM70 to try their intensive facial and i was tempted to try as they said they will add a few more steps and products in the facial. My facial started with double cleanse, next, they rubbed a layer of "crystal" i don't know what's that but they called it crystal, which is the first step of the intensive treatment, and then followed by steamer. Next she added the step 2 product and it melts the crystal which will be absorbed into my skin and then soften the white heads. After massage the product til fully absorb, she started the extraction part. She didn't extract much as she said she do not want my face to look very reddish. After extration is the facial massage, shoulder massage and then followed by a mask.

So i paid RM95 (RM25 from voucher and top up another RM70) and i wasn't contended with the treatment. The facial was very simple, not as intensive as i think. Not much of result and i don't feel relax at all. They did not use any machine on my face, not even the sterilizing machine after extraction. The facial massage was ok, but the shoulder massage was horrible, below the par.

The normal price for a normal facial is quite high, not really affordable for student. The package that the beautician told me was RM299 for 1 times of intensive facial (buy 1 free 1) so each treatment is about RM150. The beautician was very friendly and not so pushy, and asked if i would like to purchase their gentle exfoliation scrub or not as it's good for my skin and asked if i would like to sign for any package or not. I said i will consider it and will tell them in my next visit, as the voucher that i bought is entitle for 2 facial treatment.

Overall, im not satisfied with the treatment as it's below my expectation. You can go there for a trial and if you like simple facial then it's ok but i opt for a relaxing and effective facial. You can get a free trial facial by liking their facebook page at this link and if they send you an email to your facebook inbox, then you can try out their simple facial for free. One of the beautician also told my Hun that if he recommend 10 friends to the facial and he will get a facial treatment for free.

Their weekends are always fully booked so make appoiment in advance.

    Serene Aesthetic Cheras Branch

Thanks to Webuy.com which introduced Serene Aesthetic to me at their website. The deal cost me RM50 but i was entitled for a total of RM376 worth of facial treatment and also an extra RM80 for next visit.
    So here's the deal:

I went to redeem this deal at the Cheras Branch, located at CMC mall last week and i feel in love with their friendly beautician and good service.

When i reach there, they greeted me warmly and then ask me to sit down for a short consultation and face analysis. The skin analysis machine that they use is exactly the same as the one i saw in New York Skin solution. Same problems.. Large and clogged pored, white heads at the cheek, black heads at the nose and tiny pimples all over my forehead. *sigh*

After the consultation and skin analysis, the beautician(i forgot her name) directed me to the facial room and asked me to keep my bad in the locker and then put on their silky piece of cloth, i don't know what to call that. Soon the facial began.. Oh yeah, she noticed that i've my contact lens on and advice me to take it off as there's an eye treatment and they even prepare a contact lens container and solution for me. Yes i know it's very unhygienic to share but once in a while it's OK for me. :P

Started with milk cleanser followed by double cleanse. After that is scrub, i love their scrub as they don't use any machine, just facial scrub with hand. After the scrub they put on the algae mask for me(top up RM30 for this) which is good for my acne skin as it detoxify and soften my white heads, easier for extraction. The algae mask smells almost the same like the one in Herbaline.

While waiting for the mask to dry, they start the shoulder massage which made me fell asleep. Next is steamer followed by extraction and it was painful but no pain no gain.. T_T

After extraction they begin the eye treatment which is like a facial point massage and then neck treatment by using machine. The last step is the hydrating mask and then the hot stone massage. During the whole facial session, the beautician chatted with me and she was friendly.

Next is another consultation about my skin problem and they asked if i want to sign their package or not. They're not pushy at all and i love their facial treatment and also service so much that i want to sign their package. They showed me the cheapest package as im still a student they knew, RM500 for 5 sessions of the same treatment(Micro-caps Hydrating Treatment), with free eye treatment, neck treatment and hot stone massage. I asked them is't possible to replace the hot stone massage with the algae mask as the algae mask is more important and they agreed. They told me although the hot stone massage has been replaced there's still facial point and also shoulder massage which is sufficient for me. =) *Shhh* I've upgrade my package to the RM1,500 package for 12 times Treatment(6 Micro-Caps and 6 Intensive Treatment) on my second visit. Can you tell how much i like about their service? =)

Oh yeah, there's a lucky draw if you sign their package and i got a free nail colour in baby pink which have the same quality as OPI and the selling price is RM55. They then gave me a free gift of their products in sample size- a cleanser, essence and moisturizer. Since i've upgrade my treatment to the RM1500 package, i will be entitled for one more lucky draw chance. I got their eye-shadow. Will make a review on it some time later. They said they i can pay my package by installment, divide into 4 times payment and once payment is fully made, i will get a free SOSKIN gentle cleanser, another product that i'm gonna review on in the future as i'm trying out their travel size cleanser now.

They uses Soskin Product from France. This is the description of Soskin product adapted from their website:

Soskin products are developed from blending medical-grade plant and marine actives, protein and clinically-proven skin compatible bases to create therapeutic and luxurious products that give clearly visible results.

Situated on a botanical site between Grasse and Nice, France, the Cosmetic Research Group Laboratories employs advanced scientific technology to harness the most efficient molecules of nature to produce Soskin skincare products that give the best results in a more natural way.

The cleanser is really mild and effective, the smell is very soothing, like cucumber and pumpkin. The essence which helps is pore problems was ok and the moisturizer is greenish in color. The beauty consultant told me that it's best to apply at night and can be applied as a mask by applying more and thicker layer. I can't really tell the result of the products at it's just a sample size but i can tell that the product doesn't irritate my skin nor make my skin feels tight.

Another thing that i like about them is they are very concern of customers' skin condition as i receive a few calls from them after having my treatment. They asked if i have any skin problem after their treatment, and how's my skin condition now and they're so caring that they asked me to take care of my eating diet and also my body's health. Aw... ♥♥♥

For more information, you can visit their website at http://www.sereneaesthetics.com.my/. Although the ambiance is not that good, but for the good service and treatment it's really worthy. Besides the price is really reasonable, unlike those money sucking beauty saloon which over packages at RM2k plus.. Worth a try as it's strategically located at a few locations. These are the address and contact number of all the branches of Serene Aesthetic. Click on it for a larger image..

    Review on Glamor House Bangsar

Thanks to Khailing who suggested me a coupon deals at WeBuy.com  for a hair colouring session + hair treatment and a basic manicure for only RM99!! It's truly an amazing experience at Glamor House!!

So basically the deal include a basic manicure worth RM50, a hair color worth RM230 and also an intensive hair treatment worth RM130 and with total worth of RM410, we only paid RM99 for it!!

Me, Lingling, Bin and Pengpeng made an appointment and went there on Monday to redeem our treatment. We had some trouble finding the place but we made it at last and was amazed by the lovely and cozy place. It's a  bungalow like building, but they called it mansion to make it sound more glamour i think,  and nicely decorated with plants everywhere. There should be a jockey but he was late for work on the day we went for  out treatment. That was not a big deal to me as i wasn't driving.

So we was welcomed by a friendly staff, who asked us to fill in our details and some questionnaire before guiding us around the bungalow. She showed us the different section of their building, as they separate the services available at different places.

So this is their huge bungalow-like shop, and the car park was quite limited actually. It's okay, they can manage it as they have a jockey there.

Ok so this is their waiting area if you brought your bf, gf, friends or whoever along. Wow, look at the comfy couch and LCD tv. It's just like a home.

So the next section will be their facial room. Yes they have all sort of beauty services there. And their machinery for facial is scary, there're lots of them and i their tools are really sufficient. They provide all kind of facial treatment, for acne treatment, black spot, anti-aging and etc. They also have slimming treatment and the room look something like in the above picture too, but the room has its own bathroom so that customers do not need to walk out of the room when they need to wash off their scrub or whatever.

And this is their pedi and mani spa places with massage chair. Oh yeah.. ~massage~ ..

So this is their hair saloon, which is located upstairs, and before reaching this place, there is a place for kids to play for those hot mama who brought their kids along while they enjoy their spa treatment. Such a brilliant idea...

This the the area for rinsing the hair, and it's so so comfy. I like it when they cover me with the soft wool-like cover when they're rinsing my hair, unlike other saloon which use just a plain towel to cover.

Even their washroom is nicely decorated and it's squeaky clean. I have never seen any washroom in the saloon that's so clean before. Something like a hotel standard washroom. Lol..

All the photo above are from their facebook page as i didnt take any photo during my visit. So now let's talk about their service. We was welcome by a friendly beauty consultant and she guided us through the building and to the hair saloon. Then we sit at our own place, and we was asked if we like any drink and we just asked for plain water, worrying that they might charge us for extra things. Lol! So they serve us a glass of water and a bowl of guava. Later i found out that you can order other beverages and you dont need to pay for it.

They have two manicurist there and one of them came to me, and start my manicure session while lingling and pengpeng chose their favourite colour. I chose bright orangy red. I love my manicurist as she's very friendly and we chat while she was doing the manicure. Next a big and tall man, with heavy cigarette smell came near me and that was disgusting!! He came to let me choose my hair colour and i chose something like a purplish red. I really cant stand his smell and almost made me puke! Such a heavy smoker and i dont know his name!

I like this cute guy who did my hair, name Edwin and he's the artistic director. And i love the fringe that he cut for me.

So the whole process took like about 3 hours, i was tempted to do their pedicure as they have 50% offer for all the services until the end of August so me and Pengpeng will go for their pedicure by end of August.
Overall, im satisfy with their service, as they're friendly and 100% not pushy. They didnt asked us to add on anything or force us to purchase their products as this is very rare nowadays as everyone at everywhere is so hard sell.

Pricing wise, i think it's something for the "fut tai" aka rich aunty, or some high class chick with lots of money to spend. I cant really afford their treatment if it's without the deal or 50% discount but that's the price for it at Bangsar. Really love their service and environment, very comfy, home-like, friendly and truly a great experience. Below are the price that i can remember for their treatment.

Normal Manicure RM60 after discount RM30
Normal Pedicure RM60 after discount RM30
Spa Pedicure RM120 after discount RM60
    Hair Colouring RM 230
    Hair Teatment RM130
    Digital Perming RM380
    Normal Perming RM330

To know more you can go to their website, or facebook fan page or contact them directly. This is the map for their location, it's just at the junction right before Petronas Sation and you can see it once you've turn in.

-Further information can be found in their facebook page or website. =)

    Ambiance:
    9/10

    Pros:
    -Friendly
    -Not Pushy
    -Very nice environment
    -Nicely planned and decorated
    -Offers variety of services
-Something new and different that normal saloon
-Provide comfortable waiting area with TV and comfy couch
    -Concern about customers' needs
-Car park provided and there's a jockey

    Cons:
-Price is a bit too high end for a student
-The french manicure is not nice due to their technique
    -Bad traffic around that area

    Overall Rating:
    9/10

Will i go there again? Definitely YES!! =) Thumb Up for their services!!
